New site and a start to blogging
Welcome to our new site! Until now, we've just had a one-page holder website which was probably a bit overly stylised and dark. So with a little spare time over Christmas, I worked on refining the logo to make it a bit more usable in varied situations (we have big plans!) and from there moved onto the site itself.

The site has to serve a couple of purposes: first and foremost it has to be the showcase for the work we do and have done. That's relatively easy for design work which is inherently visual, but a large portion of our work is on the back-end code that makes sites and web-apps work (usually involving Ruby on Rails). Code is a lot harder to showcase, both because it's not visible to the end user and because it's usually kept private. So the site needs to get across our philosophy to developing websites and apps and the second part of the site will hopefully help there: this blog.
We've worked on some really cool projects in the past and are working on some cool ones at the moment too, so where and when possible we'll try to talk about those. We're also hoping to release some stuff as open source, so that'll be one area where tech-savvy types will be able to have a gander at some of our code.
This site obviously still needs work (the work section itself is rather empty at the moment), but as with many such sites our client work comes first. I'm sure I'll grab an hour or two to get the work page in a more respectable state in the not-too-distant future though.
